Build a BETTER salad!

This thought goes hand in hand with your “W.O.W.” (word of the week) = RESPECT! You can’t show yourself RESPECT if you are constantly telling yourself that you are not good enough. The same goes for making excuses instead of producing ACTION. Keep this in mind throughout the day, and pay attention to how you talk to yourself. The things you are saying will have a direct effect on your RESULTS!

 

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: BUILD A BETTER SALAD! Salads tend to be the “go to” meal choice for folks trying to clean up the diet and/or get more veggies into the day. Want to make your salad BETTER for you?

  • Skip the pre-made dressings and make your own! It’s pretty easy, and you can be creative using lots of different herbs and flavors.
  • Choose protein rich leafy greens: kale, spinach, and other darker colored leaves. The darker/richer the color, the more nutrient dense it will be.
  • Be sure to add healthy fat, fruit, or nuts! Avocado & raw nuts are fabulous on salads and give you great energy.
