Calories IN/Calories OUT to lose weight?

Happy Monday!!!

The “W.O.W.” = FOCUS! You can’t truly be FOCUSED on everything…but you CAN be FOCUSED on ONE thing right now! This week, FOCUS on doing one or two things EXCEPTIONALLY well so that you can achieve something GREAT!

 

The Dailey NUTRITION Tip: CALORIES IN/CALORIES OUT to lose weight? ALL CALORIES ARE NOT CREATED THE SAME! IF you are trying to shed some lbs and are consumed by counting the calories each day, think about this for a minute. In order to lose weight, we must be burning more calories than we are consuming…right? So many of us cut back on the # of calories…yet still put low quality calories (albeit fewer of them) in the hole under our nose. We: eat energy bars as a meal, eat frozen “meals” (especially diet versions), skip meals all together, & even cut out carbs (including the ones necessary for our mental & physical aptitude & performance). These calories decrease mental capacity, steal our energy, and ultimately make us perform at lower levels in all aspects of our life…even setting us up for injury. If the lbs DO come off…they never stay off with this nutrition plan. So instead of eating the LESS calories/fuel but getting them from packages, low-fat/non-fat anything, fast-food varieties, sugar filled, etc…eat MORE calories/fuel coming from real & healthy food sources in their original form such as fruits, veggies, nuts, legumes, whole grains, fish, lean meats, etc…and I guarantee you will see the scales tip in your favor.
